Salalah Free Zone has signed a usufruct agreement with Advanced Packaging Company, affiliated with Saudi Arabia’s Alesayi Holding Company, to establish a beverage manufacturing facility with an investment of $10 million (OMR 3.85 million).

The project will cover approximately 25,500 sq m, comprising an existing facility occupying 15,505 sq m and an additional 10,000 sq m allocated for operations and future expansion. The facility will manufacture carbonated beverages, juices and energy drinks for the domestic market and export destinations, including Yemen and African countries. Production is expected to commence within six months.

Alesayi Holding is also considering establishing a cardboard box manufacturing facility in Muscat and transferring an additional beverage production line to Oman. Mohammed Ali Alesayi, Chairman of Alesayi Holding Company, said the Salalah facility would become the group’s third factory, complementing its two existing manufacturing facilities in Saudi Arabia.

The investment is expected to create direct and indirect employment opportunities and support activities across packaging, transportation, warehousing and logistics. Dr Ali bin Mohammed Tabuk, CEO of Salalah Free Zone, highlighted the project’s role in supporting industrial diversification, attracting foreign investment and strengthening Oman’s food and beverage manufacturing capabilities in line with Oman Vision 2040.

The facility’s location within Salalah Free Zone, near the Port of Salalah, provides access to established logistics infrastructure and international shipping routes serving regional and overseas markets.
